From idea in 2012, born of the spurious use of the Caduceus as a symbol of medicine, I created dozens of versions of over years. None, until now, worthy of the gods. The Rod Of Asclepius, symbol of Medicine and the greek god whose Asclepieia educated the giants like Galen and Hippocrates.
The sculpture/bas relief, (to be wall hung), is approx. 8”x 16”x 3.5”. Polished Hydrostone casting with stainless steel steel armature. Microcrystalline wax finish. Optional gilding of the staff element with 24K Moongold and personalizing of the piece is offered.
These bespoke pieces start at $2000. Should this be of interest send me a note and please send the link below to your favorite physician. May the healing begin.
